TRUE U

Over the years of my working with young people, I have seen too many youth go off to college, only to lose their faith. This trend is on the rise and is a point of great frustration to me individually as one who wants to see young people discipled into mature believers in Jesus Christ.

This led me to analyze what the Church is not doing to properly prepare and train believers to contend with this attack against their faith. There are so many variables to be considered but over a period of several years, the one thing that kept returning to the forefront and seemed to be at the root of the problem was...

Acts 23:6
"I stand on trial because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead."
~ Paul
The Significance of the Resurrection (part 2)

As I think on the work of the cross, I realize a few things. The death of Christ was a demonstration of the love of God for a lost humanity. But what would God's love look like without the resurrection?

It Doesn't Take
a Large Boat
for the Holy Spirit
to Light Your Life
On Fire.

By:CBA Members News & Network
It had been a few years since Sailing vessel Gabriella sailed into the San Blas Islands of Panama , other wise known as Kuna Yala. I returned to Kuna Yala this time through the jungle with my son Trevor and my friend Christ from the Fl Keys, armed with the Word of God , walking by faith accompanied by Marianela our translator, Pastor Allen and His wife Kathy missionaries to Kuna Yala God's plan began to unfold. God's Holy Spirit fell upon His people , chains were broken , lives were changed, I know I will never be the same.

Waiting on Him,
Gail Gordon

Fly to Porvenir Island
in the San Blas Islands
PANAMA

Take a plane ride over the San Blas islands. You will see Nalunega island where the mission base is located (to the right) and then land on Porvenir Island where there is a "hotel". This is where I stayed when I went to San Blas. When I was there, both ends of the runway were damaged and the airport on Porvenir was closed for repair. We took a very wet boatride from the mainland in Carti out to the islands.

"He was buried and raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" 1Corinthians 15:4
The Significance of the Resurrection (part 1)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead was the most significant event in world history. It validated everything that Jesus said about himself and secured eternal salvation for those who put their faith in Him. It's impact on the human race is not limited to this life on earth, but impacts a life for all eternity. Had Jesus not been raised, His claims and teachings could have been discounted to that of the many religious leaders and teachers throughout history.

Canadian School Ship Capsizes & Sinks off Brazil; All Rescued

RIO DE JANEIRO - A Canadian sailing ship filled with high school and college students sank off the coast of Brazil in strong winds, but officials said all 64 people aboard were rescued Friday after about 16 hours in rafts tossed by rough seas.

A distress signal was picked up from the three-masted SV Concordia about 5 p.m. (2 p.m. EST; 1900 GMT) Thursday, Brazil's Navy said in a statement and an Air Force plane later spotted life rafts floating in the ocean about 300 miles (500 kilometers) off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

From the Mahon family

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
THANKSGIVING THAT LEADS TO VICTORY

When we think of giving thanks we often focus on the things we have received and been given. This is good and proper. Most believers agree that it is good to give God thanks. But I want to look at another aspect of giving thanks that most people have probably not considered.   ...more
